Mn Alfrkd Buckiand's Weekly Report.— At the hay market on Fiiday Bth fodder ranged from 3s Od to fa 3d ; maize, 3s 4d the bushel. Horse stock were at late values. Heavy stock ranged from £25 to £10 ; ordinary hacks, from £fl to £15 ; inferior, from 30s upward. On Tuesday a larger than usual quantity of fodder obtained similar prices to the l tiling on the Friday. At the hide and skin sale on the 12th, hides brought from lfd to 3id the lb. ; sheep skins and pelts, from 4d to 2s 5d each ; wool, from 4\ to 5} the lb. The sale in the estate of MrGeoige Hunt, held at Ramarama on Monday lost was very numerously attended, and satisfuctoiy prices obtained throughout. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in full number and good demand. Prices ranged from £6 to £9. Store cattle dull of sale, at lower values ; fat cattle in average supply, and the market showed a fiimer tone than for usual weeks, prices being steady throughout. Steers from 21s to 23s per 100 lbs., but cows are at low values. Fat bheep were yarded in less than usual number, but inquiry was dull, and no improvement obtained on last week's prices. Store sheep : Buyers were not so numerous as for some time, and they showed some improvement in price. Lambs abundant, and scarcely maintained last weeek's values. Pigs were numerous, and steady demand at satisfactory prices. Averages were : Eight Bteers, E. Ormeiod, €8 13s ; lllsteers. Win. Aitkin, £8 3a : 24 steers, H. and J. Goodfellow, £7 15s Gd ; 200 wethers, Auckland Agricultural Co., 13s Gd. Me.ssks, Hunter vxn Noian'sTJri'Okt — Horsos : The maikct has been wolerately active, and an avci.ige number changed hands at moderate values. There were a good many entries at the Durham yards on Friday, and steady competition throughout the sale. Prices for those of a good stamp •were maintained, while inferior animals receded slightly in value. Wool, hides, skins, and tallow : Above the usual number of bides were pitched, and sold at from 3d to 3;jd ; skins, from lid to 2s -Id ; wool, in bags, 4id to sgd ; tallow, 2!K Gd per cu-fc. Cattle ;"The market has been fully .supplied, Fat stock had a slightly upw.ird tendency in value. Dairy cows weie a shade cheaper than the previous woo'c, and stoics unaltered. Both the Newmarket and Pukekohe yards were welt filled. At Newmarket bidding for dairy cows was slow, while at Pukekohe it was brisk. Stores were in steady demand. Fat beasts advanced slightly in value, but piices are in favour of purchaser-.— 22s lid per lOOlbs. being given only for exceptionally good animals. There weie no notewoithy alteiations in values of dairy and store stock. Sheep about an average numbei weie yaided at Newmarket on Tnesd.iy, pens being filled with butchers' stock. Some exceptionally good Napier w ethers ransred from IG-> 9d to IDs ; local and We^t Coa^t w etlier^, from 14s to K!s 3d. Lambs weie plentiful, but some exceptionolly good ones from Ardmore realised 14s 3d. Pigs weie yarded in moderate numbers, sold exceptionally high, and theie remains an unsatisfied enquiry for good young t-tote pigrf and porkers.
