The result of the Poll taken at the Town Hall, Kihikihi, on the 9th inst., to decide whether the Town Board shall, or shall not, levy a special rnte of one fifth of a penny in the £ aud bonow £200 from the Government, is as follows :—: — For the proposal 35, representing a rateable value of £8540 Against the proposal ... None.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance w ith the provisions of the above acts, and the Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1576, that an ELECTION will be hpld at the Town Hall, Kihikihi, on SATURDAY, the 23rd day of February, 1884, lor the return of five duly qualified peisons as members of the Kihikihi Town Distucfc Licensing Committee. And I further appoint the Town Hall, Kihikihi, to be tho place, Friday, the 15th day of Februaiy, JSB4. to be the day, and from 9 to 12 o'clock, a.m., to be the time for receiving Nominations ot Candidates.
