Caiko, February 10 Authentic news is to band to-day that Gordon Pash;i ni lived safely at Berber, a town on the Nile, above the fifth cataract, yesterday, and that he is now well on his journey towauls Khartoum. A full brigade of Egyptian troops is now underoideis to proceed to Assouan, at the fiist cataract on the Nile, on the Nubian fi on tier, where prepaiations will be made witli a view of opposing the advance of the rebels into Egypt pioper. Should this be attempted, the troops will beofßceied throughout by Englishmen, and a force will be despatched with the least possible delay.
