Information for arson was sworn to- "~ day, before the mayor, against fonr Maoris in the Murimotu district. It seems a dispute arose about a title to some land, and accused burned down a w hare. The matter has been impending eight months. <

BucHland will sell at Cambridge on the 31st inst., fat and store cattle, dairy cows, calves and sheep. On Saturday, 2nd February, he will offer at Cambridge a lot of useful horses. His Walkato Sheep Fair will be held on Wednesday, the 6th February. About 1300 sheep are already entered, and those who purpose selling are requested to make early entries.
