BALCLUTHA, Friday.
A four-roomed house, occupied by Mr Mcßride, carpenter, was accidentally destroyed by fire this afternoon. It was insured in the Victorian office. A man named Stephen was killed in a ballast pit on the railway line this aftfrnoon by a fall of earth.
