There is a young man in a Chicago hospital who suffers ftom a disease know n as " pulsating exophthalmia." He has a constant throbbling of the eyes and distension ot the nerves, causing him to see double. The medical men say that only twenty cases of this disease aie recorded in thewoild, which shows that medical men don't hear of everything that is going on. We have it from those who ought to know, that this iufirmitj of double vision is quite out of the common in all our large cities, and that it not infrequently occurs in the rnial districts, especiallly upon lodge nights But we are free to confess that we never until now heard the name of the disorder Hereafter when a gentleman goss home after an evening out, and after m.success ful attempts to insert his latch-key into the two keyholes which appear before him, is let in by two wives, and tries to get into,, two. beds subsequent to ineffectual efforts' at blowing out two lamps we shall all Know that he is suffering from pulsating exophthalmia, and pity him accordingly.— Boston Transcript.
