WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
The iibual monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board wati held la&t Saturday. Present: Messih Chepmell, Pair, Heddon, and Buck. Messrs Sandes and Napper, engineers, attended. The engineers reported that Joseph Heathcote had finished his bridge contract on the road leading to Matatnata through the Grant and Foster block, and had made a capital job of it. Progress was repeated on some of the other contracts. Tendeus are to be called for soon for a number of works, including jobs on the deferred payment block, and the opening up of a road on the Richmond block, towards the cost of which Messrs F. D. Rich and \V. L. C. William', have promised a subscription of £100. Tenders were received as under for ballasting the Ngatinianga-Kawana road :—: — >S. Bulge, Is od per yard ; M. O'Doiwghue, Is 3d (accepted) ; E. Voysey, Is sid. S. Bulge's tender of €10 10s was accepted for the Tnaxter road contract. Accounts amounting to £202 were passed for payment.
