RULES AND REGULATIONS.
Nominations for HuulleSj Cup, Waikato Stakes, and Publican's Puise close at 9 p.m. Thiu&d.iy, 10th Januaiy, ISS4. Name, age, and pedigree of horses and colours of ikler to be sent to the seuetai y on that date. 10 per cent, off all laces, except Cup, Selling Hack, and Consolation to go to
second horse.
All protests must be in writing, and accompanied by 2sovs., to be forfeited if the protest is frivolous. No entry will be received for any lace except upon the condition that all claims, disputes and objections arising shall be decided by the stew aids, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon ail points shall be final. Qualification fee for all races except Selling Hack Race, one guinea. Horses walking over will only receive 50 per cent of the stakes. All nominations, accompanied by the necessary amount iv cash, mubt be .scut to the Secretary, To Awamutu, not later than 9 p.m. on Thursday, the JOth January, ISS4. Weights will be declared in Waikvto Times and N.Z Heiald on Tuesday, loth Januai}'. Acceptances close at 9 p m. on night of geneial entiy, Tuesday, 22nd January. No nominations or acceptances will be acknowledged unless accompanied by the ca&h. The first race staits at 1 o'clock.

On Boxing Day, December 2Gth. and New Yeai's Day, a Special Train Mill run as follows ; — Te Awamutu, G 20 a.m. ; Ohaupo, 6.37 ; Hamilton Junction, 7. 10 ; Ngaruawahia, 7.43; JHuntley, b.15 ; Mercer, 9.40; Racecourse Platform arr. 12.15 p.m. Return Special On Boxing Day, December 26th, the train leaving Auckland at 6 p.m. will run through to Te Awamutu. Christmas Day. Trains will run as on Sundays. Trains Cancelled. On Boxing Day, December 26th, 1883, and January Ist and 2nd, 1884, the following trains are cancelled : — Auckland dep., 6.40,. 9.45 ; 11 a.m. for- Henderson ; the 2.5 p.m from Hamilton; 3.45 p.m. from Huutley ; 11.40 a.m. from Mercer ; and the 2 p.m. from Henderson.
