PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the board was held at the Pukekura School-house on the 10th inst., all the members being present. — Mr Nickle wrote,' asking that iepaivs, which weie urgently needed, be effected on the .Redoubt road. Ct was resolved to accede to the req\iestl — A letter was lead from the "Waikato Timbei Company asking peimission to errect a large post on the bank of the Waikato l i ver near the bi idge. Gi anted, on condition that the company pay a rental of fis per annum.— Mr E. B. Walker wrote, asking the board to take the necessary stepa to get the road past Norwegians to Mangapiko dedicated' and gazetted' as a public road. The board resolved to bubmit the matter to the ratepayer?. The following tenders were received for works in the township near Denton's and Davies : — No 1 : W. Tucker, £2 (accepted), D McKennon, £3 G's 8d ; Fletcher, and Barrett £4 ; M. Dillon £4 los, No 2. McKinnon £4 7s 4d. (accepted) M Dillon L 4 10s ; Tucker, £5.— It was resolved to call for tenders for improving the roadway and enbankmentsn'ear Bell's, Tucker's, Pottertons' and at Mystery Creek. — Accounts amountingto L103 15s 8d were passed for payment. This concluded the business.
