MATAMATA RACES.
These race-,, though not publicly announced, will take place as usual on Boxmg D.iy, and piomise to be well attended. Thoi c are .some fast horses on the Matamata, estate and the outlying district, and the->e will no doubt take pait in the meeting.
Tn addition to these local atti actions there are the Auckland .Races, at which, a', is usually tho case, many of the settlcis of this district Mill no doubt be present. ]n addition, there will, as a niattei of coui.se, be the usual private pic-nics, &c. Altogether, the people of Waikato have ample op])oitumties for enjoying themselves on Boxing Day.
