TAOTAOROA ROAD BOARD.

Thk usual monthly meeting of the above body was held at the Duke of Cambridge Hotel on Saturday last, when the following business was disposed of. Biudok on WhitkMaij, Road.— The following tenders were received for this work :— -New timber and all iron work, &c., £2 5s per 100 feet ; taking down old bridge, and building old timber into new bridge, 13s per 100 feet. Earth cutting at Is 3d per yard ;' cutting channel; Is 4dper yard ; Charles Garrett. New timber (heart of kauri), with iron work, &c, £2; taking down old bridge, and build old timber, at 13s per 100 feet; forming approaches at lOd per cubic yard i forming dhannel and filling up old, at Is per cubic yard ; if .old channel is retained, make thoroughly good founda-^ tions,. with, square blocks, of stone or timber approved, , and maintain the same for, one yeav.-=Thbmas Bruce (accepted.)
