At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, bjst hides bi ought 3id aud 3Jd the lb ; sheep skins, Is Id to 3s sd ; lamb skins, Is 5d each ; tallow, 2 h IJti to 25s the cwt. ; small lots of wool, from 4W to (i|d the lb. At Komuera, on Thursday, store cattle were numerous^ and in good enquiry, at fully late valuo>. Fat cattle were in Usual supply and generally of good quality, The sale was a brisk one. Diafts of steers averaged 2"X aud an occasional choice pen reached 30s per lOOlbs. Averages were : 30 steera, J. S. (riahatn, L'> ; 21 head heifers and steers, C. W. Stephens, LS 15 ; 10 steers, H. Brettagh, LS 11s ; 8 steers, Kobort Fisher, L8 ; 8 steers, J. Hamilton, L 7 sa. Sheep were in full supply and lower in price than la^t week, Is to 2s each, bringing barley 2^d per lb. Lambs were in short supply, but also at lower values. Well bred store pigs and porkers brought full values. Mkssrs Huistku and Noian's Wkbkm Rkpout: Hor o e^. An avei age supply met with r steady demand at the previous week's values. ' The entries for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Fiiday were more numerous than on the previou-. week. There was stoady competition throughout the sale, and with few exceptions sales were effected, t > the satisfaction of the vendor, but there was no alteration in quotations worthy of note. Wool ; The second sale of the seiies was held at tin 1 Durham Wool Loft on Monday. The bidding was nioic spuited than at the pievious sale, and price-* advanced — longwool 5d to ssd, cross-bred (id to (>id merino, 8d to Bid. Hides weie of iudinVient desciiption, aud sold at fiom 2d to 3d, jier lb ; pelts, 3d to lid each ; skins 2s 2d. Cattle : There has been quite an avei age supply. The demand for dairy stock has been slack, but other desiCiiptions have beon in good demand. At the .Junction Yaids, on Tuesday, theie was an average muster ; and, at 'Fukekohe, on Wednesday, a huge one. Dairy cows declined in \ahu' fully 10s per head. Stoics sustained then \alue and there was an ,\d\anceof LI i>er head in fat oven, which advance, however, cows did not participate in. Sheep were yarded in less than usual numbers and price* had a slightly upwaid tendency. Lambs weie in adequate numbers and sold at from 7s 3d to 14s od. Pigi : Short supply. Prices ranged from 2UI to 3kl per lb.. live weight.
