TE AROHA MINING NEWS.

A test of the tailings of the Premier and New Find mines has been made at the battery during last week, 47 cubic feet of tailings from the former loz. 16 dwts gold, equal to one ounce per ton, and 47 cubic feet from the New Find 2ozs, 2d\vts equal to loz 3dwts per ton. We (News) are informed that the tailings plant the Battery Company purpose erecting in connection with the battery, will consist of 80 berdnns. These will be driven by a horizontal undershot wheel. The tailings will run straight feom the battery into the pits at the tailings plant.
