LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH.-OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
The New Zaaland, Shipping Oo'mr pany's Steamer^ *' Aucki.yni), Fno^ Night. Tub New Zealand Shipping Company have received a telegram from London today, stating that the steairer Dori£ yras to leave London tor Auckland direct on Thursday next, the 13th inst. ; also compain's new steamer Riupehu for Auckland direct on the lOtli January.
Saw-mill Burned. The Kawakawa Saw-mill was destroyed by tire last night. The loss will be under £300, but it would have exceeded that amount very considerably had it not been for the exertions of those preaent. The mill w.is owned by the Bay of Islands Coal Company.
The Native Minister. Mr Bryce has arrived at Kawhia, and it is expected that his detention there last some weeks arranging matters in connection with the Native department. Probably Mr Rolleston will leave here shortly to meet Mr Bryoe. The Government have received a telegram from Major Atkinson stating that he proposes leaving for New Zealand by the next trip of the Ilauroto from Sydney, arriving in Wellington on the 23rd inst.
