WAI K A TO ROWING CLUB
At a committee meeting held on Thuwlay night, it was decided to accept the geneiou-* oifei of Mr John Douglas, who, sluing the club has somewhat --lacki-ned in it-, enthusiasm, liifoiuied Mi T. (t. Siindes tli.it he would let them have his bo.tt-hhed, at piesoiifc at Ttiupiii, foi £">. Coiwdenng the shed is about the best in the Waiknto, and in thoiough good repair, this offoi is leallj nothing mm c nor le>s than a gift to the club. Mr Sander has kindly undertaken to take the shed to pieces and place hiiino on boaid one of the Waikato Stoam N.nigation Company's steanieiti, and tlio manager of the company has, we understand, also kindly piomised th.it the boat-^hed sliall be brought to Hamilton free, this to be looked upon as a donation to the club. The Waikato Kowing Club should consider them.selves i?\tiemely lucky in ha\ ing .so many prizes falling at one time to their .shaie, and if the apathy alieady shown still exists 1 , the members deserve to be classed among the lazy and indolent folks of this woild.
