CAMBRIDGE TOWN BOARD. [BY TELEGRAPH.] Cambridge, Monday.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Cambridge Town Board was held in the board's office at four o'clock this afternoon, Cr. Wells in the chair. Messrs Lindsay and Walker waited upon the board re the foreshore prey ioubly applied for by Messrs Whitaker and Campbell. The subject was discussed at considerable length, and was eventually postponed. — Mes.srs Huge and Lowther's application for permission to form a road to their property was granted. — A letter from the town clerk, re valuation roll to Pro-perty-tax Commissioner, and later telegrams in reply, was read. — Jt was proposed by Cr. Hewitt, and seconded by Cr. .Richardson, that Mr J. P. Thomson be appointed valuer for the Cambridge Town District under the " Rating Act, 1876," and its several amendments.— Carried.
