Till, Couit of Inquiiy appointed to investigate the cii-cumstancesundoi which the On jut steamer Austral fmmdeiud iv Port Jackson on November 11 last year, concluded its fitting-, and deliveiod judgment to-day. The Court finds that the capsizing' of the vessel was dvio to water entering the after ports tin ough coaling being earned on at one .side of the vessel for too long a tune, thereby causing her to heel over. The .ship, however, is pionounced to be perfectly staple in every respect. The casualty was due to a seiies of small mistaken, none of which the Couit held to be sufficiently soiious to ju&tify the Couit iv dealing with the officerd' certificaterf. The Court added a rider, drawing attention to the blameworthy practices of sending t,hips to sea before they had been inclined and their stability calculated. The inquiry, which i\as a ino»t ci itical and exhaustive one, lasted a foitnicrht.
