MESIDRNT MAGISTRATES COURT, CAMBRIDGE,
Ymterdav.— (Before Col. Lyon and Mr A. Clements, J. P.) ! Breach of the Peace. JOBEPH Bolter and a native named Paddy Regan, were charged on tho information of Constable Dillon with having committed a pre»cu of tho peace by fighting in Cambtidge on .the 3rd inst. — Mr J. P. Campbell axipearcd for tho accused, nnd Constable Bronnan prosecuted. Evidence was called t for tho prosecution, and showed that tho accused were squabbling together, the nativo being in a drunken condition. Some of the witnowses described tho affair a "piece of fun," and altogether devoid of finger. If thero was any harm in the affair the nativo was the aggressor.— The Constablo gave evidenco to the effect that ?Bolter was beveiely handling the native, and when he interposed, gave him back talk.— The Court considered the ca.se a frivolous one, and dismissed it without calling any evidence for the defence. j
