[BY TELEGRAPH.-COPYRIGHT-REUTER.] [Received September 21, 3 p.m. ] Cooktown, Yesterday.

The steamship Rome, fioin London, via. Ritavia, brings later details legarding the Bunda disaster, which fully confirm the previous news that a tidal wave, a hundred feet high, swept several Luge vessels fully three miles inland, where they remained high and dry. The crews were all saved. The Rome found the sea round Java covered with pumice, and the engines became choked. All familiar landmarks had disappeared. The loss of life is set down at 75,000, but it is not possible to estimate the amount of damage to property.
