The fii st estimate of £00,000 as the loss by the liro at Roekhampton was overstated, and ifc is now believed that £40,000 w ill co\ cr the damage done. A fresh case of small-pox occurred amongst those m quarantine from the steamship Duke of Westminster. The person attacked was one of the stevedores of the vessel. The steamship Q herra lias arrived here from London with seventy cases of measles and typhoid fever on board, and has been ordered into quarantine.
