Mr Holloway's string band cou ti United an oveituie, and Mr Warner generously played all the pianofoite accompaniments to the songs, and provided the imi^ic for the dancing, Mr Holloway assisting in the latter with his cornet. The vocalists weie Messrs Buriiand,'Grieen, N.ipper, Holloway, Pi octor, T. G. Sandes, H. Steele, and Jones. Of this number Messrs Green, Hollo way, and Jones sang character songs, and the last named gentleman's "til asU my Mother" was undoubtedly the gem of the evening, though Mr Green's "Irish Jaunting Car" was a great favourite also.
