HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Tjiaddeus Vicars Fitzpa trick, to be the Returning Officer to conduct the fiist elections of five Commissioners of the Town District of Ngaruawahia, as constituted under " The Town Districts Act, JBS2," also to appoint Saturday, the 22nd September, 1883, to be the time, and the Couit-house at Ngaruawahia to be the place, for holding such Hist elections; also to appoint Saturday, the 29th September, 1883, at 12 noon, to bo the time, and the said Court-house to bo the place, for holding the first meeting of the Commissioneis ot the said town district, THOMAS DICK.
MANGAPIKO ROAD DISTRICT. ■■ NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Maugapiko Road Board, at a meeting to be held on Saturday, September 29th, 1883, to make a rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the lateable \aluefa, for the period commencing upon the 29th day of September, 1883, and ending on the 31st day of March, 18S4, to become payable on the Ist day of October, 18S3, to the collector to the board.
