The Auckland footballers are quite fit, and had a good practice yesterday at the College ground, ltyan, Arneil, Warbrick, and Wlriteside kicking well. Moore has improved greatly, and it is almost certain he will be picked. The team will be picked this afternoon. It haa been showery for the last three days} and the Lancaster Park ground will be^pfeasy. Should it lain to-morrow tho matcli will probably be postponed till Monday. Ring's shoulder is better. Henderson is keeping his men well in hand, and haa refused an invitation to a dinner given by the Canterbury Rugby Union. The team greatly enjoy rowing in the boats of the local row ing clubs. Betting is 3 to 1 on Auckland. Canterbury have some fast men behind '" scrimmage." Fiirr, who played so well for Canterbury in the Wellington match, is ill and will not play.
