Messiw. Stewart and Hunter, engineers tor the Thames Valley ami Botorua Railway, iveened the following tenders for the construction of the section to LichfieUl : —
At a meeting of the Board of Directors, held yesterday afternoon, the tender of Mr Fiillon was accepted, and work will he proceeded with forthwith. The length of the section is 10| miles. When railway communication is established between Lichfield and Auckland, the directors will prupare the town anil suburban sections for sale.—Herald.
