OAMARU, Thursday.
TMB following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waitakt County Council yesterday j—" Seeing that numbers of local bodies have made such outrageous applications on the Government for aid under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act, this Council would respectfully suggest that before any division on the claim sent in on the 30th June be made, the Government will so amend the Act limiting the amount any local body can apply, for, as indicated in the Financial Statement, in order that other bodies may require a more equitable division."
