At Drury. on Wednesday, there W»'i a full muster of tattle or all kinds, and a larger attendance than usual. Stock sold more freely than for somo months. At Kcmuera, on (Thursday, fat cattle,were numerous, but many 'of small size. Hest quality were at last week's, ' Values, but second quality easier in price. Dairy cows and store cattle dullof sale. Fat sheep in average supply, and fully maintained last weeks value's, prices for good weathers ranging from 16s to 2ls ; and, for the ewes, from 8s 6d to 16s. Average, were : i steers, Thomas Wilkinson, £11; 16 steers. A. Bruce Suttor, £8 11s: 32 steers, J. C. Firth, £7 12s 6d ; 8 steers, J. Way, £6 14s ; 60 weathers, Grice and Parker, 18s 8d; .110 F. Hicks, 16s 6d.
wethers, ■ Mkssrs Huntkr and Nolans Wukly Report.—Horses : There has been an improve* nent in the market both as regards supply and ' demand, and prices have had a lightly upward tendency. Only an average number were subinUted by auction by the Durham Yards on Friday, but the entire horses attracted a good ati tendance. Malvern was sold for L2l, and firisrhara Young was withdrawn, as the reserve could not be reached. Prices for ordinary stamp of horses renged a shade higher than the previous week. Wool; hides, and skins : There was an average quantity at the Durham Yards on.Tuesday, but the inferior description. Hides Sold at 2Jd, skins from Is to 3s lOd. Cattle . There has been a limited supply of stores and a moderately good one of dairy and store stock, .alves have advanced considerably ih value, md there nas been little alteration in dairy and fat stock. At Newmarket on Tuesday there was a fair muster, and steady competition. We quote beef 22s to 24s per lOOlbs ; dairy cow's from LC 10s to LI 2; calves from 18s to 20s ; four-year-old steers L 4; grown steers L 5 5s ; dry cows from L2l» L 4 7s 6d. Sheep: The Newmarket yards were wrll filled with butchers stock oh Tuesday. Competition was spirited throughout the safe, and 2s per 81b wat freely given. 33s 9d was given for top wethers, and inferior were relatively higher. Pigs were scarce, and for well fed animals 3&d per lb, liveweight was given.
