Hi-low .in average number were submitted by auction on I'Vid.iy, at the Durham Yards, but most of them found purcliasors at the previous week's valuei. Wool, Hides, and Skins : There was rather more than the usual number ot packages of wool, which sold at from ljd to .">^d per Jb. Skinjlwere also plentiful, -and sold at from 9d to 3s lv. Hides were scarce, rather inferior, and sold at 2 Jd. Tallow sold at from 27s Od to 29s 9d per cwt. Cattle : The number brought forward ot all descriptions has been below thu average, but there has been a steady demand, and rather an upward tendency in price. The beef and dairy pens at Newmarket on Tuesday wore well tilled, but no .stores were yarded, but there was a moderate supply ot the latter, and also of dairies. At Pukelcjfic on Wednesday prices for fat rows did not ro.ii.li expectations of vendors, but for all other descriptions an advance 1 on the ptevious week was given. .Sheep were plentiful at NVivm irU-t on Tuesday, and some were of excellent description, 21s Od having been reached for the best pens, and lighter weights sold relatively higher. Limbs also advanced in value, and sold at Irom 12s Od to lls Od. I'igs— Very few yarded.
