THE LATEST. [BY TELEGRAPH-COPYRIGHT.] [Received July 13th, 1.5 p.m.] English Shipowners and the Suez Canal. London, July 12.
At a meeting of British shipowners held in London, to-day, a resolution was passed condemning, as onesided, the agreement concluded between the English Government and Count de Lessops for the construction of a second Suez canal. The resolutions further declared that England's position was in no way improved by the agreement.
