(Received July 9th, 12 15 p.m.) Melbourne, Yesterday. Arrived : this morning, P. and 0. steamer Pekin with the inward Suez mail, dated Ist June. During the very stormy weather yesterday, the steamer Black boy became a total wreck while attempting to obtain salvage from the George Roper. The crew of the Black boy were all saved by a life-boat.

Wellington. Brisiuxe, Yesterday. The Premier will make a statement tomorrow in the Assembly as to the course the Government inteuil to pursue in view of the recent defeat on the Trans continental railway question. It is expected that the Ministry will ask for and obtain a dissolution.
