On I'ucsdav hides were piftlietti largely in excess of usual sales; prices were lower, Rood quality ranging from 2§d to 2sd the lb. Skins were also in full number ; butcher's skins brought 2* Id ; station skins from Is to 2s 6d each. Fat in bags, 23s the c.vt. At Papakura on Wednesday about 50 only wore yarded ; those sold .it late values. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows were dull of sale and .it lower values ; store cattle in better enquiry. Fat cattle of prime quality wore in brisk demand and prices advanced for prime animals from 3s to 5s the IOOOIbs. Waikato averages were— 2l steers, AVaikato Lind Association, LlO 2s Od: 8 stccis, Gricc and Parker, LS 2s 01. The sheep market Was fully supplied. .Store ewes wero dull ol sale at the auction. 'I hose sold brought from 8s to 12s each, and some were withheld. Fat sheep sold better than U>"t week, from Is to '2-t each, and fat wethers brontrht rrom 15a to 18» apiece. At the Durham Yards on Friday the slight animation of the previous week was continued. Above an average number were submitted bv auction, and most of them found pun hascrs at the previous week's values. We quote— !uck>, from £5 to £12 7s 3d ; active light hirness hones. £12 to £V! ; colts, suitable for quick draught. £20 (o 1,23 10,. Wool, hides, and skins : Wool in bags sold at the Durham Yardf on Tuesday at from s|dtoojd per lb. Very lew hides were offered, and of inferior description, .-ikins sold at Iroin 0d to 2m 2d. Cattle : Dullness has characterised the market. The number offered his not been large, and an unwillingness to purchase except at low rates his been evinced. At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday an average number were offered. The demand was steady tor all descriptions, but the price of f.U beasts receded from 10i to £1 per head, as compared with the previous week, 22« Od per lOOlbs having been reached in ■very few instances. There was no jioteworthy # alteration in value of dairy and store stock. Sheep : There was a short supply at Newmarket on Tuesday, and prices had an upward tendency. Wethers sold at from Hs to 17s 9d ; ewes, 13s ; stores, from 6s 8d to 10s. Pigs : Very few yarded, but prices low.
