Ifufollowing were the prices obtained :— Springing cows. Store cattle in low condition ; heifers, from 35s to £2 Two-year-old steers,, from. £2 2» fld f to £3. drWffhi horses. £21. "For sheep there were no buyers." The prices obtained were considered very satisfactory.
LONDON MARKETS. London, Juno 15 —Consols remain at 1003. New Zealand securities are unchanged an fof« low*:— 6 percent. 19-40 loan, 10« i; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 104 i ; 4 per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 102 i ; 4ope( l , ,cent. inscribed stock, 102 J. Colonial breadstuff's continue dull, and prices have declined. Adelaide whe.it, e\ warehouse, is quoted at 475, a falling- off of Is. New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, has suffered a similar fall, and is now quoted at 43s and 465, according to quality. , Adelaide flour, ex store, is quoted at 335, a decline of Gd. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,900,000 quarters, an increase of 10,000 quarters during the Week.' Australian tallow is dull, and has declined 8d per cwt. Best beef is now quoted at 4J.S, and best mutton at 42s Gd. London, June 16. — At to-day's wool sale 9100 bales were offered. The market was steady, but the demand was not active. A special to the Press Association says : — The wool market is stronger, and Rood combing wools command a penny above market rates. Short and faulty merinos have recovered, and cross-breds arc unaltered. Two hundred and ninety thousand bales have been catalogued, s.nd twenty-four thousand withdrawn.
