Nathaniel Flower for severely biting a man's ear in a scuffle in a bowliug saloon, was fined £3 aud costs. R, T. Shields, sheep fanner, was fined £10 and costs, being the minimum penalty under the Act for neglecting to give notice to the inspector of a sheep which defendant had reason to believe was infected,
