1 '"Mil AUMUID HOCKf.ANu's WRKKLY RKPOnfr.— On Friday, at the Haymarket, hay ranged from 8s 3d to 5s 3d per cwt ; maize, 4s ; oats, 2s 6d 'per bushel. The thoroughbred horse stock occasioned a. numerous attendance. The first offered was the Hippo-Sl.indcr filly. She was withdrawn at the auction, but has since been sold privately for £140. HUlingsgatc, the next offered, j brought Ll2O guinea* ; Ellerslie, 27 guineas ; CKatlpo, 45 guinea* ; Tatters, LBO 10s Snider was withdrawn, but will be sold at the same time at Vampire, in a few weeks, lliere w.is a large muster of active draught horses, and a good demand throughout the sale, at prices varying from LI B to L3l 10>, but horse stock of a light description arc at low values. At Papakura, on <-, Wednesday, there was a better inquiry for store cattle than of late, all yarded were sold. At Kcmucra, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in usual number, but lower values. .Store cattla nt late prices, l.it c.ittlo very plentiful, and it young or not well fatted, prices fell seriously, but good animals were at Lite \alucs. W.iik.uo averages were ■ 1(5 oxen, Henry Steele, L 9 2s Od ; 10 oxen, \V. Taylor, L8 7s 3d ; 24 steers, Morrin and Studholme, L 7 13 9J; 8 steers, \V. .md J Scott, L 0 17s 0(1. Sheep were in less than usu.il number, but .it lower values, about 2a each, and several pens wet c withdrawn. l'".itpigs weie in full numbers and brisk demand, .it prices s itisfactory to the seller. Missus Husti'k and NTotan's Wim kL\ Report . —I here has been a. slight improvement in the market. About an average number were disposed of, and prices wcic unaltered. At the Durham Yards, on Friday, a good many were entered for disposal by auction. Competition was steady, and most of the lots were cleared, although prices scarcely reached the expectation of vendors. We quote— Hacks, at from L 5 15s to Ll4 12s 6d ; light draught horses, LlB to L 23. Wool, hides, and skins : Wool, in small Jiackets and inferior, sold at from 4£d to 5d per b; bides, in bad condition, lid to 3dperib; •kirn, from Is to 2s 9d oach. Cattle. The aupply hat been rather short, and resulted in an upward tendency for beef, but there was no advance in other descriptions. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, there was a moderate muster. Dairy ■lock were unaltered in value. Grown store steers, in fresh condition, have a slightly upward tendency, but for other descriptions prices ruled in favour of the purchaser. l<"at beasts advanced in price, 2-lspcr lOOlbs. having been given for top sorts. Sheep were penned in moderate numbers at Newmarket, on Tuesday. Competition wa» steady, Is 8d per 81bs. Lambs sold a' from 7s Od to 10s 3d. Pigs were y.trded in limited numbers. Good porkers obtained 2d per Ib. li\c weight.
