THE VICTORIA ROAD.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Allow me through your columns to direct the attention of the Tamahere Road Board to the condition of the northern end of the Victoria road. The late rains have caused the water to accumulate in the drains to such an extent that in several places the road is flooded, and at one part, when I recently passed, a stream, several yards wide, and with swift current, was washing fascines and gravel away. I need not enlarge on the importance of keeping this road in good order, as the members of our local bodies are aware of it, and, I believe, require only to ho informed of it to see that active remedial measures are n't once taken to have the road made good for the approaching winter traffic. — I am, &c, Til VVHLLKK.
