Burgesses of the abo\ c borough are hereby notified that the Council have made applfcition to the Alinister for Public Work*, under the provisions of the act, for aid, to reconstruct the JJridjje on the main road, Hamilton East, and the sum of £150 has been granted, subject to certain conditions. '1 he bridge is estimated to cost £150 in brick and concrete. Plans and particulars may be obtained at this office. The amount of yearly payments required to be made to re r ay one-fourth of the grant will be £3 15s for t n years and a special rate to meit this will be one-twelfth of one penny in the £ on all rateable property on the Valuation Roll. A POLL of the Burgesses will be taken on Tuesday, the sth Tune, 1883. to decide whether such special rate shall lie given as security for the annual pijmcnU in order to obtain the total amount of aid applied lor, vu, £150.
