Sullivan, the well-known musicians, and Mr. George Giove have been knighted for their services in connection with the Roy.il College of Music. In the ' course of the opening address His Royal Highness took occasion to thank_ Sic W. J. Clarke and Sir Thomas Elder, of Australia, for their scholarships to the college.' Intelligence is to hand from Halifax, No\a Scotia, that much alarm is felt there, in consequence of a report which is current that some Fenian torpedo vessels have sailed from Boston for Halifax. It is feared that an attack upon the shipping at that port is intended.
