HAWERA, Last Night.
On Saturday about 100 settlers met to consider the question of starting a butter and cheese factory. A committee was appointed to secure further infoiination. On the same evening at Normanby a meeting was held to consider the advisahluness of starting hop culture. A number of settlers resolved to go into the venture, ami agreed to secure the services , of a practical mail to give things a atart.
