Original Poetry. IN SOLITUDE.
Oft time with silence curtained round, , In lon-ly hours of, pensive thought, When daily cares, with weary weight, Have left me dazed like one distraught; And all my hopes and fears I've found Have ceased to kindle love or hate, Dull mem'ry then begins to Bound Those hidden depth?, , which bands o£ fate iWith heartaches sore and sad have fraught. Ah ; then I feel how Bolitude ; Upon our griefs doth make us brood, _ And wond'ring ask why so much pain With losses great and little gain Should human life alway surround. Tbistbam.
