Thhkmj.vy. — (Bcfoie their 'Honours Chi-t Judge Macdonald, Judge Pnekey, and the Assessor.) Whakamaru Re-hearing. Tnn negotiations for settlement in this case fell tlnough at the last moment owing to alterations in the concessions previously agreed to. The Court opened at 10 o'clock, when an application was made by Dr. Buller to take sub-divihion cases in the Whakaiiuuu before calling on the rc-licanug. Objections weic made to the sub-division cases, being taken before the re-hcariug, consequently the re-hearing was then called on. Mr yiieehan asked the Court to avail itbelf of its powers, and make use of the evidence pre\ lously taken. Dr. Buller objected to the evidence being used. Fkid v.V. At the opening of the Court this (Fiiday) inonunu, the Chief Judge read the decision arrived at by himself and the colleagues, n the evidence which they decided to use. The examination of w ltnofases is now pioceeding.
