NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the piovisions of "The District Railways Act, J877," the abovementioned— The Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway Company Limited — have caused the middle line and direction of the Railu ay proposed to be constructed, under the sait) Act to be set forth on a Plan and described in a Book of Referen6e, showing the lauds leqttired to be taken for the bame, and the names of the owncts ami occupiers of such lands, so far 1 as they can be ascertained ; and copies of the said plan and book of referonce have been deposited at the undermentioned public places in the district within which ,thp said Railway is intended to be constructed, namely — The Post Office, Morrinsville ; The Resident Magiitrate's Court, Hamilton ; The Resident Magistrate's Court, Cambridge ; And at the Public Works Office, Wellington. Notice is also hereby given that the area it is proposed to constitute a railway district for the purposes of the said act, contains ' five hundred and fortyei^ht thousand acres (or thereabouts), bounded as follows, that is to say : — Commencing at the north-west corner of Motumaho No. 2 Block, thence northeasterly along the northern and western boundary of the said block, and northwestern boundary of the Taukoro Block to the Piako River, thence southerly along the western bank of the Piako River to its junction with the Waitakaruru stream, thence bouth- westerly along the centie of the said l.ist-iucntioneil stream to its junction with the Topehaehae sticam, thence south-easterly alone the centre of the last-mentioned stream to the south-east corner 'of the Te Mutu No. 2 Block, thence by a stiaight line bearing N. 52* E. 202 chains to the surveyed road-line from Morrins\ille to the Matamata road, through the Maungatapn Block, thence easterly by the southern boundary of the said road to the north-east corner of Subdivision Lot 4 of Block VIII, Maungakava survey district, thence south-easteily by the south-west boundary of the surveyed road to Matamata, from Waihou Tow nsliip to the south-'e<ist boundary of Subdivision Lot 1 of Block VIII, Mavmgakawa survey district, thence easterly in a straight line to the Waihou River, through Trig 579, thence by the south-east side of the said ' Waihou rher to the Waireie stream, thence along the ceutre of the said W<virere stream to the north-east corner of Block Okauia No. 1, thence by a line bearing S.'2-t* W. 426 chains, thence by a line bearing S. 25" E. 130 chains, thence by a line bearing S. 10' E. 204 chains, thence by a line bearing >S. 2V E. IS3 chains, thence by a straight lino to the northernmost corner of Block WhaitiKurunui No 4a (northern poition), thence by the easterly boundary ot the last-men-tioned block to the south-east corner of Block Whaiti Kurunui 4d, thence south-easterly along the centre of the Waiwakanga'u stream to the north-west corner of Block Paengaioa No. 4, thence by the south-west boundary of the lastmentioned block to the south-east boundary of the same block, thence easteily by a straight line to the north-east corner of Block Whaiti- Kuramu (northern portion) 2u, thence by the south-east boundaries of Blocks Whaiti-Kuranui(norchein portion) 2n, 2k, 2b, la, Ib, and le respectively, and the south-east boundary of Block Whaiti-Kuranui (southern portion) 1a to the north-east corner of the Kokako Block, thence by the north-east boundary of the Kokako Block to the south-east boundary of the said Kokako Block, thence in a straight line to the north-east corner of Block Tokoroa No 1, thence by the easterly and south-easterly boundai y of the last-mentioned block to the boutlierly boundniy of the same block, thence by the southcily boumluy of the same block 420 chains, thence by a lino bearing S. 10' E. 146 chains, thence by a line bearing S. 85' W. GS chains, thence bv a lino bearing S. 13' E. to the north bank of the W.iikato river, thence westerly and noithorly by the said bank of the Waikato lher, to the south-west corner of the W "pt Block, thence by the south-west boundary of the said W.iip i Block to the south-eastern corner of the said block, thence along the eastern boundary of Blocks Waipa and Hmuwera No. 1 respectively to the northernmost corner of Block Mangawhara No. 2, thence by a line bearing JJT. 29 > W, 5S ch.ajns (( O r thereabouts) to the junotion of the MangawGhea stream with the "Waitoa. river, thence along the said Mangawehea stream to the north-eaht boundary of the Pnketutu Block, thence norlh-we><t by the said boundury of the Puketutu Block to the Mangapapa stream, thence northwesterly by a straight line to the northernmost point of Te Tapui Block, thence in a straight line to the south-east corner of BloekKiwitahi Ik. thence by the southerly boundary of the said B.lopk K-iwil4M lp to Block Kiwitahi 2, thence by the southern boundary of the said block Kiwitahi 2 to the boundary between Te Konehu and Te Tapui Blocks, thence north-we&t by a straight line to the southernmost point of Block Kiwitahi 3b, thence by the sonrh-west boundaries of the said Block Kiwitahi 3b and Block Kiwitahi 3o to Trig 705, thence by the westerly boundary of Block Tahuroa No. 2 to the Kuranui 'Block, thence westerly by the eouthreaefr boundary of the J^uranui Block to tho south -west boundary of the said Kuranui Block, thence by the last-mentioned boundary to the Wuitakaruru stream, thenoe north-easterly by the last-mentioned stream to the westerly boundary of Block Motomaho 2, thence by tho last- mentioned boundary to the starting point. Notice is hereby given that the said Company have transmitted, or will before the tweufciflfcb, day of I^aroh, transmit to the Piako and Tauranga County Councils a nobice containing, or accompanied by, the fbllowing particulars: — (1.) A copy of the Plan and Book of Reference and an estimate of the cost of the proposed • Railway and of the equipment thereof. ,(2.) A statement of the maximum rate of tolls and charges for the carriage of animals, goods, merchandise, and passengers proposed to be charged on such Railway. (3,) A statement of the maximum rent or charge to be made for the storage of goods, produce, or merchandise. (1.) A statement of the minimum number of trains to bo run daily. > (o.) A specification of the rate ie is proposed to levy in respect of the various classes of land herein- , after mentioned.
