In accordance with this resolution tlie following communication was received by the Towu Bo ird and discussed by them at tlieir meeting on Monday evening last. Dear Sir,— At the annual meeting of the subsciibcrs to the libraiy, held on the 25th January last, it was resolieil . — " Th.it it be an instruction to the incoming committee to lcijuest the ch.ui man nf the Town District .Board to call a public mooting at .in early d,itu to consider what steps shall be talvcn to provide lunds for improving and adding to the libiaiy building" At a mooting of the committee held to-d.i) , I \v.is> re(|nestcd to write and .i^k j'ou to consider this resolution, and jjhc me a reply .is soon .is }ou can lhe committee much dcstie to see the work begun .it once, and would feel obliged if the bo.ud would aid them in finding sotno means ot doing so.
