NATIVE LAND COURT, CAMBRIDGE. Saturday.— (Before His Honor Judge Williams.)
Judgment in Te Waotu Block No. 2. Judumj;xt was given in the above case to-day. All persons claiming to have their names put on the title for Ngatemutu were ruled out, and of the large number who sought to be placed upon the Ngatimahia list only nine were admitted. Arakatera te Wer.i, chief of the Ngatiraukawa was directed by the judgment to admit the remainder of the applicants upon his own block. The main reason given for this decision was that he (Arakatera) encouraged these people to believe they would come in under him, and had received money from them which he had applied in the carrying on of his own case. The decision is effectually in favour of Mr Sheehan's clients. Ye&terday. The Court was engaged yesterday in the matter of receiving the lists of names iii the Waotu case.
