GISBORNE, Thursday.
The annual meeting of the Southern Cross Peti oleum Company was held last night. The report and balance-sheet were taken as read. All the Gisborne directors resigned en incite, and a new board, comprising Messrs WV H. Spacktnan, J. Jj Jameson, F. Williams, W. D. Mears, G. Hart, X Wickes, D. E. B. Craig (of Christchurch), were elected. The new board will henceforth sit in Christchurch. At the first meeting Messrs Wickens and Craig will retire in favour of Dr Rose and Mr W. R. Wocles. The meeting at Gi&borne was very unanimous, and satisfaction ,was expi'essed with present projects. Mr Motley represented Napier, and Messrs Craig, Spackman and Wickes, the Christchurch shareholders.
