FIELDING, Tuesday.
Mr Joxks, of the firm of,, Palmer and Jones, attempted to shoot Mr J. B. Roots this morning. v Hoots escaped unhuit by running away aigzn'g io dodge the shots. The woujd-be murderer is supposed to be insane. The parties concerned have gone to Palmerston to obtain a warrant to arrest Jones.
