ow"; 13 evae u a dyj A Pamphlet, with Engravings, fully describing (jTUENON'S J__ SCUTCHEON.
A Guide in the Choice of Dairy Cattle, And how to Apply the System Practically. With an Appendix, describing a Simple Process for CHEESE-MAKING FOR HOME USE. This little "guide" is intended to explain as fully as may be in a smalt compass, the invaluable discovery of Guenon, to enable anyone to select good milch cows by the escutcheon. There can be no doubt, if this discovery is made to be easily acquired, that hundreds of pounds would be saved to the community by the improvement of herds, and a consequent reduction in the price of bovine products, on account of the increased yield and the lower cost of raising it. In its preparation the aim of the proprietors lias been to meet the wants indicated by the numerous inquiries that have from time to time reached them, and to so condense its contents as to keep its cost within the reach of every dairyman, and at the same time to give as full and fair an exposition as possible of the subject, to enable all to HU up their measure of knowledge ot the system, so that the superficial shall become thorough, the doubting acquire new faith j and all see its merits the more they practice and apply it. The guide contains a description, with engravings, of the various escutcheons and their indication of value and quantity, and directions how to apply them.
