Saturday. The Howick Murder.—Sentence of Death. Jambs Crowley was charged with the wilful murder of his wife at Turanga Creek, near Howick, on the 3rd of December last. Mr H. Williamson prosecuted for the Crown, and the prisoner \vas defended -by Mr K. Hesketh. The chcnmstanaes of tho tragedy are wellknown, and it is not necessary to recapitulate them here.
