ANOTHER CHEESE FACTORY FOR WAIKATO.

Ik response to an advertisement in these columns, a meeting of the settlers in the vicinity of the Ohaupo racecourse was held in one of the rooms under the grand stand, last evening, for the purpose of disciißsing the desirableness of establishing a cheese factory on the property. The chair was occupied by Mr S. Ste,ele, and there were about ten of the settlers in-; terested in* attendance. After some general discussion, from the tone of which it was evident that the meeting was thoroughly in earnest, resolutions to the following) effect, were carried :—That a cheese factory company be established on the basis of the hon. James Williamsons proposal, viz, that the company purchass froth ' him JOO acres of land (the racecpnrsc) at £6 10s per acre, the whole of the money to remain on mortgage at 6 per cent; that the capital of the company be £2000, in 2000 shares of £1 eacli; thatithe .provisional directors be Messrs Bell, S. Steele.'J: Way, Atkinson, Kusabs, Gribble, and t McNicol, with, pow er to add to their number. Messrs Bell, Steele, ami Gribble were appointed to make tinal arrangeriients with Mr Williamson, draw qp a prospectus, and report to a meeting to be held on Thursday, the 23th inst., at the same time and place.
