At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were numerous, but in better demand, and advanced in price. Store rattle at late values, with st fair demand for well bred steers. Kit cattle, y.irded in moderate number*. A few of choice quality reached 255, but the ruling price for good steer* was 22s the 1001b*. Cattle : The holiday produced the usual interruption in the market, and lessened the number submitted for sale, but prices had an upward tendency, particularly for dairy and fat stock. There was a good muster of fat beasts at Newmarket on Wednesday, and a few dairy cows. The prices for both showed an advance of fully LI per head. On the same d.iy the monthly sale was held at Papakura. 'Ihere was a full muster ol stock, a good attendance ol buyers, and prices ruled in favour of the vendors fully 5s per head on late quotations.
