Horse stock were very numerous and a largo number of. sales effected, but prices were much lower than lor a considerable time; Attho hide, skin, and,wool sale.ion Wednesday, hvool maintained the improved vilue'l of the previous week. Best hides ranged from 3d to 3|d thc.lb,; tallow, 24s Od the cwt; pelts, 3d|to 8d: sheepskins, 2s 4d to 4s lOd; lambskins, Is 2d' to Is Od each. At 'Remuora, on Thursday,' dairy cattle were better worth. Store cattle scarcely represented. Fat rattle in moderate number. Light-weight steers were steady at 22s thelOOlbs; cows, from 18s. hheep in very short supply, but with no improvement in value. Napier wethers, 12s Gd and 13s each. Lambs plentiful, and of very good quality, prices for them without alteration; best quality ranged irom 10s to 13s each. Very few rat pigs or calves yarded: those at late valhcs. > Messrs Hunter and Nolans Riport.— Horses : The number offered for disposal agnin i c\ceeded the demand. A very large number were again submitted by auction at the Durham yards on Friday. Competition was moderately, brisk, and all horses, the proprietors of which were prepared to accept current rates, were duposcdof. We quote hacks from L 5 10s to Ll3;' useful spring cart horses, Ll6 to L2l 10s : quick draught, LlB to L 25. Ca'tle: There has/been little done in dairy or store stock, and but a limited number of fat beasts have ckanged, hands. The Newmarket - sale was held on Wednesday on account of the holidays, »and suffered the disturbing influence in paucity pf both stock and buyers. Fat beasts were ample for requirements, and sold at about the previous week's rates. Sheep were in moderate supply, but of indifferent quality, and prices had rather a downward tendency. Pigs were yarded in full numbers, and prices were decidedly m favour ot purchasers. Lambs were tolerably plentitul, and sold at the previous week's values.
