If they did not adopt stringent measures the boys would grow up to dis J • grace them. The duty the Bench h[ad to perform was a most painful one, as the, parents were well-known and respected^ iv the community. The boys were then removed to thq lock-up, where' the police administered a birohing |to, and afterwards liberated them. The Bench made «m order to baud over to Mr Sjandes the money found on martin.
